2023 FESTIVAL
THE INAUGURAL SCARBOROUGH FILM FESTIVAL 9TH - 12TH NOVEMBER 2023 was a huge success! It was a brand new, four day festival of screenings, exhibitions and events, bringing a diverse array of films from across the UK and the rest of the world to the festival hub at the McCarthy cinema and other venues across Scarborough, North Yorkshire. 13 events (varied to cater for different ages, themes and payment ranges), 47 films (long or short shown over the four days of the festival. Again these were were diverse in range, from archive, docs, artist moving image, student made, children's animation, queer focused etc), 5 venues were used across the festival from the Railway Club to Seagrown Boat from the SJT and the Art Gallery to new art space, Mandy Apple, 14 filmmakers/crew/cast hosted.
